// purpose

Why we exist

Composite Logic exists for leaders whose problems have outgrown generic consultants and borrowed playbooks. The constraint is rarely effort—it is access to judgment at the level your stakes demand: architecture that survives production, delivery that owns the tradeoffs, and—when it matters—market-facing clarity that matches what you actually ship.

We are here to solve that. We bring elite technical and go-to-market operators—leaders who have carried serious scope and still work shoulder-to-shoulder with your team—so solutions are shaped the way top-tier organizations need them: direct, rigorous, and accountable to real outcomes. No theater, no recycled templates, and no advice that evaporates when partner pressure, incidents, or launch dates stop being hypothetical.

// mission

What we do

We combine senior engineering execution with executive-grade marketing leadership when engagements require it: architecture and delivery for distributed, cloud-native, and AI-assisted systems—and go-to-market clarity for technical products in demanding ecosystems, from smart home and automation to enterprise platforms.

Joshua Karr

Co-Founder & Principal Architect

Senior Staff Software Engineer

Joshua is Composite Logic’s technical co-founder and a Senior Staff Software Engineer—operating at the staff bar where architecture, implementation, and organizational judgment have to match. He designs and delivers distributed, cloud-native, and AI-assisted systems for teams that cannot afford brittle shortcuts, slide-deck strategy, or advice that never ships.

His work concentrates on high-stakes modernization: event-driven platforms, resilient AWS and serverless footprints, and delivery cultures accountable to production metrics and real outages—not best intentions. Years inside enterprise-scale engineering have shaped how he turns ambiguous mandates into systems that scale, survive partner pressure, and stay comprehensible to the teams who inherit them. Alongside Danielle, he is building Composite Logic to pair that depth with executive-grade go-to-market leadership when clients need both on one coherent program.

// selected prior work

Prior to Composite Logic, our founder:

  • 01Architected an event-driven platform that replaced batch processing, cutting data latency from hours to seconds across a dozen services.
  • 02Led a multi-region cloud migration with automated failover for a large enterprise platform.
  • 03Built an AI-assisted internal developer platform automating code review, test generation, and deployment workflows.

Danielle Karr

Co-Founder & Marketing Leadership

Vice President of Marketing, North America — Nice · Ph.D.

Danielle brings executive marketing leadership from the smart home, custom integration, and connected-products ecosystem. At Nice she leads North American marketing—partner- and dealer-facing narrative, NPI and campaigns, and tight alignment across marketing, sales, and product.

Her path runs deep through Vivint, Control4, and Snap One—field and VIP programs, PR, major trade and industry events, and brand storytelling that puts customers first. She holds a Ph.D., publishes, and speaks on professional communication; that helps Composite Logic pair technical depth with clear, grounded messaging when an engagement spans engineering and go-to-market. Industry recognition includes honors from CE Pro, Parks Associates, and Dealerscope.

// current focus

Building Composite Logic with active staff-level perspective

Day-to-day practice stays grounded in active staff-level engineering—hands-on experience inside modern software organizations, not abstract consulting distance.

That keeps Composite Logic biased toward practical architecture, clear communication, and delivery that survives production reality.

// how engagements work

Architecture before activity

We start by clarifying constraints, tradeoffs, and success criteria so engineering effort compounds instead of drifting.

Senior hands on the work

Composite Logic stays execution-close. Technical strategy stays tied to implementation—and when engagements include go-to-market, narrative and delivery stay connected too.

Delivery with operating confidence

The goal is not just shipping software, but leaving behind systems, observability, and decisions your team can sustain.

Technical and commercial alignment

For product and platform work that spans engineering and market-facing bets, we keep architecture, positioning, and launch stories coherent—especially in complex partner and ecosystem environments.
